Block catalog - every block, its properties and events

What it is for

A block is the building unit of a screen. This catalog lists all 283 blocks in the platform with every property each accepts, where the value may come from (static, expression or binding), the events it fires, and the values it outputs. For blocks that have fuller documentation it adds what the block is for, an example, and tips.

Reading an entry

  • Property: the name you set in properties.
  • Type: string, number, boolean, date, or json (a list or object).
  • Set from: static (a fixed value), expression (computed) and binding (live from state). A property that lists only static cannot be bound.
  • Events: what the block can tell the page. Attach an action chain to any of them.
  • Outputs: the value an input block holds. Write it to a scope and key to share it.

Finding a block from the command line

bash
erp blocks list # all blocks, one summary each
erp blocks list --category input
erp blocks list --type core.lookup # the full definition of one block

An AI coding agent gets the same data from the erp_list_blocks tool.
