This page documents the shipped Ratings screen (hcm-performance) — the rating scale configuration used when scoring performance. Not for plugin developers.
Creating a rating scale
Create Rating Scale — name it, pick a Scale Type, set the Minimum and Maximum values, a Description, and whether this is your Default Scale. The grid shows every scale's Minimum/Maximum, Version, and whether it's currently Default — you can version a scale over time rather than editing history away.
Appraisals, Self Assessment, and Manager Assessment all reference a scale defined here — set this up before running your first cycle.
