Software Licenses (HCM)
This page documents the shipped Software Licenses screen (hcm-assets) — tracking software entitlements, separate from physical Asset Inventory. Not for plugin developers.
Creating a license record
New Software License — Product Name, Publisher, License Number, License Type, and License Model (e.g. per-seat, per-device, subscription). Set the Entitlement Quantity (how many seats/uses you've purchased), Start Date and Expiry Date, and the Cost/Currency.
Tracking usage
The grid shows Product, Publisher, License Model, Entitlement, and Expiry, alongside Status. KPIs: Total Products, Active, Expired — a quick way to spot licenses that have lapsed and need renewal.
