Updates

Updates work the way they do on a personal computer: your organization's administrator decides when to apply one. Nothing changes for your users until then.

Where to find them

When an update is waiting, tenant owners and administrators see an Updates are available banner at the top of the app launcher. Open it, or go to /app/platform/launcher/updates.

What you can do with an update

Action	What it does
Install now	Applies the update for your whole organization.
Remind me later	Keeps the update available and stops raising it for a week.
Roll back	Takes the update off again. It then shows as available, so you can apply it later.

You need the tenant.upgrade right, which tenant owners and administrators have. Other users do not see the banner and cannot apply updates.

What an update contains

Each update says what it changes, who it affects, when it became available and links to its documentation. Updates that change how screens are grouped never change your data, roles or settings.

A plugin offers an update in its own manifest with tenantUpdates; see the plugin manifest. The platform keeps no list of updates.
